Coaching Application/Registration is now OPEN for the 2021/2022 Season.
1. Complete the Online Coach/Staff Registration.
If your child has played hockey with MMHA in the past, or another sport that uses the RAMP Registration System - login with your existing username/password and select Coach/Staff Registration.
If you can’t remember your username, do not create a new account. Contact the registrar for assistance.
If you do not have an existing RAMP account, create a new account.
2. Complete the online Respect In Sport Activity Leader Program if you have not yet done so or need to renew.
The course is $30.00 and approx. 120-150 minutes. Users can stop at the end of any module and continue later.
Renewal will be required for the 2020/2021 season for anyone who completed it prior to 2017/2018.
3. Submit Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check if you are new to the association.
You will be notified if we have one for you that is expired. Must be submitted before Season Start. Criminal Record Check can be obtained from your local detachment at no cost using this letter.
Please note, historically we have seen some people walk out with it right away, and for others is can take up to a month to get your check back so keep that in mind with regard to the season start date.
Alternatively, online at myBackCheck. There is a $59.00 cost for this. The association has decided they will not reimburse the fee if you decides to use this service, as the check can be obtained for no cost at the detachment.
FROM HOCKEY CANADA SCREENING GUIDELINES: All employees and volunteers with the organization MUST complete an initial Vulnerable Sector Verification (VSV) which includes a Canadian Criminal Records Check/Local Police Check through the local police or a third party provider. Every three years following the initial check all employees and volunteers must complete a Criminal Records Check/Local Police Check and can do so through Hockey Canada and SterlingBackCheck Services or a similar agency, or by going to their local police service. This is mandatory and an on-going condition of employment or volunteering.
